Force OP exploit with bukkit and lilypad (Still need help....)

So im setting up factions on my server and i went to go install the plugin to find out that it wont gen any files. I think this is because i updated to the latest dev build on bukkit to make sure no one can use this exploit. I was linked to this post before, http://www.lilypadmc.org/threads/new-minecraft-forceop-bug-not-possible-with-lilypad.257/ but my question is if bukkit isnt updated does this still mean they can use the exploit? Or no because they are going through the lily proxy? Thanks in advance for help.

It is not possible to do the force op exploit with LilyPad. The problem of the folders not regenerating might be because you have downloaded an outdated version of LilyPad.

no, im setting up a server not connected to lilypad so that my players cannot connect to it and i can work on it. I have no lilypad plugins installed on it or connected to it. I want to make sure that if i dont update Bukkit to the latest dev build that patches the exploit if players will be able to use the exploit or not because they are going through lilypad proxy. I think a reply from matt or the plugin developer would be better.

And i think this problem ties into my dead frog not generating files because im on the newest version of bukkit and i dont think that the plugins are updated for that dev build but they are for the recommended build.

Since players are forced to login through the proxy, and the force OP exploit bug was only in the Craftbukkit login code, it is not possible with LilyPad, as the code is not the same.

However, I would recommend updating to the latest CB anyways, as I did.

Can you paste your error log from the console for the factions part?
