2k People connecting at once

    If 2k people are trying to connect at once, will the proxy give out?

    We will, yes. but all connecting at once as there is a livestream. So you actually think the lilypad or the server wont crash or anything?

    Nop. If your sub servers has enough RAM, then you don't have to worry :)

    What Matt said should be fine, but allocate a little more than 256MB to your proxy.

    Also, @michaelh3x3n@gmail.cxom , you mentioned you were doing some type of live stream thing. This weekend is MSE, and I have a friend on their team, he said the second they opened they had hundreds of people trying to join at once, over and over. It was basically I giant DDOS attack. If you are going to have 2,000 people join at once, your going to need a ton of protection. The MSE server had 100Gbps of protection I believe, and there server crashed at the beginning due to all the people joining.

    2000 people connecting at once is unrealistic, but if that does happen Minecraft.net will not accept your authentication requests, and half of the connections (if not more) will receive "Failed to authenticate with MC.net".

    The LilyPad software itself will be fine though.
