Invalid Proxy assuming server crash

OK. I'm going to say this straight up, I don't want any BS answers like it's my fault, or it's my host's fault. I know what the problem is, I just need to know what the developers will (hopefully) do about it. The problem is in 1.7 my servers load up new maps and teleport them at the same time. The server lags for approximately 8-10 seconds during this process. However, the GOProxy software assumes the server crashes beforehand and disconnects the players, thus restarting the server. I think that the connection timeout is too low on the GO version of the Proxy. I'm just wondering if the developers can either increase the timeout or add an option to change the timeout.

I believe at the moment the timeout is 10 seconds, which is exactly the same as the Minecraft client.
