Resolved Skin Layers

Hello LilyPad,

I've noticed that skin layers are not showing up when connecting via 1.8 clients on the latest LilyPad project versions. Servers running BungeeCord don't present this issue. Connecting directly without the proxy also doesn't present this issue. If you could look into this, that would be appreciated.

Thats because the spigot servers and lilypad are not having all the 1.8 features yet. They just override the Connectionprotocol (I think it was called like that ) what means that when an 1.8 Client tries to connect to your sever, instead of returning an error that the servers version is too low, it says that he can join but cant use 1.8 features.

So all in all, you can connect with an 1.8 client but the server still behaves like / has only the features of 1.7.

You will have to wait for a new Craftbukkit/Spigot version to come out which has 1.8 features.

@Superfuzzy summed that up beautifully. And for reference, BungeeCord is the same exact way. It won't have any of the 1.8 features, including the skin layers.

BungeeCord is not exactly the same way. The skin layers, especially the hat work. Unlike LilyPad.

I believe you are slightly mistaken. Lilypad and Bunegee cord don't handle this stuff, including the skins. There was a good explanation in the Spigot wiki about this http://www.spigotmc.org/wiki/1-8-faq/ .
